Wayne provides us with a synopsis of an exciting new project in Trinity College Dublin, called the 'Eternal Candle Project'. This involves the development of a new type of thermal energy storage device which eliminates the need for a chemical battery. This technology is aimed primarily at the developing world and was presented at the Cleantech Ireland conference on 8 December 2009, hosted by BCM Hanby Wallace.
