BCM Hanby Wallace becomes ByrneWallace – Your Legal Business Partners
Monday, 1 March 2010
One of Ireland’s leading business law firms BCM Hanby Wallace has announced a major rebranding exercise which will see the firm change its name to ByrneWallace – Your Legal Business Partners. The new name will take effect from today [Monday 1st March].
Speaking today Paul McGennis, Managing Partner, said that the rebranding was being undertaken as part of a major repositioning of the firm which has 40 partners and employs almost 300 people. The firm has also confirmed that it will move to new 150,000 sq feet state-of-the-art offices in Grand Canal Square in Dublin’s Docklands this summer.
Speaking on the name change, Paul McGennis said: “Changing our name is just one step in a larger project which is to position this firm for the next decade of growth and development. Our objective is to become business partners with our clients rather than simply transaction-based advisers and this name change, the move to the new headquarters building and ongoing investment in personnel and resources are all part of that project.”
He continued: “The BCM Hanby Wallace name has served us well but when we researched our positioning with clients and prospective clients, we found that it failed to reflect the broad nature of our business, the strong relationship based approach we bring to our work and the strong Irish identity of the firm. It was too closely identified with the type of firm we were a decade ago rather than the firm we are today and will be a decade from now.”
According to McGennis, the new brand reflects the firm’s Irish identity and the personal service it brings to clients.
ByrneWallace has strong practice areas including Corporate law, Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency, Health Services, Commercial Litigation, Green Economy, Life Sciences, Banking and Financial Services, Technology, Property and Employment Law.
