ByrneWallace hosts Irish Times Innovation cities roadshow

This morning’s Innovation Cities Roadshow was hosted by ByrneWallace and is a component of our sponsorship of the Irish Times Innovation Awards 2012. This briefing is part of a larger nationwide series of roadshows, aimed at delivering expert insights into leading business issues; other organisations that have held events include PwC, Accenture and the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Paul McGennis, Managing Partner, ByrneWallace opened proceedings before handing over to the Michael McAleer, editor of the Irish Times Innovation magazine. The briefing featured 3 presentations:

  • Norman Crowley, Chairman, Crowley Carbon – entrepreneurial thoughts on driving innovation forward
  • Ronan Furlong, COO, The Green Way – update on The Green Way: Dublin’s Cleantech corridor
  • Tom Flanagan, Head of Commercialisation, DIT Hothouse – how DIT is facilitating the next generation of business innovators and leaders

Closing date for receipt of applications is Monday 5th December and we wish all entrants the best of luck. The final awards ceremony will be held in March 2012, where the cream of Irish innovators will go head-to-head for a prize package worth in excess of €150,000.
