ByrneWallace promotes nationwide Sigmar Job Creation Initiative
Thursday, 29 April 2010
Job creation is key to turning the Irish economy around. At ByrneWallace we are willing to play our part and are a proud co-sponsor of the Sigmar Job Creation Initiative. The goal of this programme is to effectively link with government stakeholders on the implementation of a number of key initiatives which will lead to long term sustainable job creation. These initiatives have been compiled from diverse contributors ranging from small SME’s to some of the country’s largest multinationals. The different ideas were refined into a 10 Point Plan which was presented to Minister for Trade, Enterprise & Innovation Batt O'Keeffe T.D. (pictured below) on 29 April 2010.

10 Point Plan
1. Appointment of Job Creation Tsar
2. National Job Seeker Database
3. Enterprise Placement Scheme
4. Open Data Initiative
5. SME Graduate Programme
6. Self Employment Initiatives
7. Export Ireland Initiative
8. Piece Work Initiative
9. National Recruitment Body
10. Employee Innovation Initiative
The effective implementation of these ideas will play a significant part in creating thousands of new jobs in Ireland.
