Canadian opportunities for Irish Cleantech and renewable energy operators

The potential for Irish Cleantech and renewable energy companies to take advantage of the Canadian market was highlighted at a major gathering organized by the Ireland Canada Business Association in partnership with ByrneWallace. Aslin Unlusoy, Investment Officer, Canadian Embassy in Ireland, highlighted the potential sectoral opportunities in wind, water, bioenergy, waste-to-energy and hydrogen fuel cells. James Ives, Chief Executive of tidal energy company, OpenHydro Group Limited, outlined OpenHydro’s experiences of operating in the Canadian market to date.
