Tuesday, 15 November 2011
Congratulations to ByrneWallace clients Imperative Energy and OpenHydro, who won 2 of the “Global Top 10” cleantech awards last night at a gala awards ceremony co-hosted by The Green Way. The awards ceremony was attended by 270 delegates active in the green economy with Minister for Energy Pat Rabbitte presenting the awards. The winning companies from the US, Canada, Finland, Switzerland and Ireland, represent the world’s leading cleantech clusters in the categories of biofuels, energy efficiency/green buildings, new materials, renewable energy, solar, storage/smart grid, transportation, waste, water and wind energy.
The Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA) Later Stage Award Top 10 winners were selected from an original pool of 4000 eligible companies, represented by the GCCA’s 33 member clusters. Each cluster conducted internal evaluations to nominate companies in the 10 categories to represent their country, with Imperative Energy and OpenHydro being the two sole Irish representatives.
ByrneWallace, legal partner to The Green Way, the Irish member of the GCCA, is delighted and extremely proud of the achievements of both companies, and we look forward to working with them on their ambitious future plans. Imperative Energy, won the “Best in Biofuels” category with OpenHydro winning the “Best of Renewable Energy” category.
