Alison specialises in property law with an emphasis on property issues arising from insolvent borrowers. She qualified as a solicitor in 2003, joined the firm in 2007 as an Associate in the Property Department and was promoted to Partner in 2012. Alison has significant experience in acting for developers, landlords, tenants and investors.  In recent years, much of her work has been based on insolvency related transactions with particular focus on receiver sales and lettings, mortgagee sales and portfolio reviews for banks and for NAMA.  In addition, Alison advises  NAMA and Bank appointed receivers and banks generally on property related issues arising with insolvent borrowers

Recent Experience

  • Acted for a Johannesburg based investment fund in the acquisition of the Tesco distribution centre in Donabate, Co Dublin for in excess of €125 million
  • Lead Partner on the sale of Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links on the instructions of Simon Coyle (statutory receiver).
  • Acted in the block sale of 81 residential units in The Liffey Trust Building to an international investor on the instructions of an SPV of IBRC. 
  • Acted in the acquisition of Doonbeg Golf Resort on the instructions of Trump Acquisitions LLC.
  • Acted in the sale of The Morrison Hotel, Dublin on the joint instructions of Martin V Ferris and NAMA.
  • Ongoing advices to Simon Coyle (Statutory Receiver to Capel Developments Limited and its associated companies) in relation to the holding and disposal of its assets.
