Dennis Agnew - Partner
Dennis is a Partner in the Corporate Department. He leads the firm's US Foreign Direct Investment team, which has advised a significant number of US clients in establishing and operating businesses in Ireland. In 2010 Dennis established the firm’s New York office, where he is now based full-time. He advises and assists clients in North America with interests in Ireland and also helps Irish based clients with interests in North America to make appropriate contacts. His areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, where he advises across industry sectors including the energy, life science, recruitment and retail industries. Other areas in which Dennis specialises include management buy-outs, joint ventures and shareholder agreements, corporate governance and general corporate issues.
Key transaction experience
- Advised US mobile accessories company Zagg Inc on the establishment of it’s European headquarters in Ireland
- Advised all of the shareholders of Stokes Bio Limited on the sale of the company to Life Technologies Inc.
- Advised US software security company McAfee on the establishment of its European headquarters in Ireland.
- Advised US pharmaceutical company Sciele Pharma Inc on Irish aspects of its acquisition by the Japanese company Shionogi and its subsequent group restructuring.
- Advised Entrepreneur of the Year John Flaherty and the C&F Tooling Group on its acquisition of assets from Iralco (in liquidation).
- Advised C&F Green Energy Limited on the legal framework for its wind turbine busines
- Advised the management team on its MBO of Sigmar Recruitment Consultants Limited from Newcourt Group plc (in receivership).
- Advised CHP energy company Fingleton White & Co on its joint venture with Dalkia Energy Limited.
- Advised radiopharmaceuticals company M2i Limited on its joint venture with Erigal Limited.
