Dennis Agnew - Partner
Dennis is a Partner in the Corporate Department and leads the Firm's Inward Investment team which has advised a significant number of US clients in establishing and operating businesses in Ireland. His areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, where he advises across industry sectors including energy, pharmaceutical, recruitment and retail industries. Other areas in which Dennis specialises include management buy-outs (MBOs), joint ventures and shareholder agreements, corporate governance and general corporate issues. Dennis also has a strong background in advising family-owned businesses on structure, acquisition and sale strategy, and day to day legal issues.
Key transaction experience
- Advised Entrepreneur of the Year John Flaherty and the C&F Tooling Group on its acquisition of assets from Iralco (in liquidation).
- Advised the management team on its MBO of Sigmar Recruitment Consultants Limited from Newcourt Group plc (in receivership).
- Advised US pharmaceutical company Sciele Pharma Inc on Irish aspects of its acquisition by the Japanese company Shionogi and its subsequent group restructuring.
- Advised CHP energy company Fingleton White & Co on its joint venture with Dalkia Energy Limited.
- Advised US software security company McAfee on the establishment of its European headquarters in Ireland.
- Advised radiopharmaceuticals company M2i Limited on its joint venture with Erigal Limited.
