A partner in the firm's residential property development department, Ronan specialises in residential and commercial property. Ronan has advised a wide variety of property developers on the acquisition and development of schemes for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. Ronan also acts and advises in Landlord and Tenant matters including the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases. More recently, Ronan has acted for HSE in property-related matters, including the acquisition and disposal of sites/properties; the negotiation and finalisation of agreements for lease, leases and licences; the drafting and negotiation of documents for the development of healthcare facilities on various sites; the securing of grant funding made available to voluntary organisations in various instances; general Landlord and Tenant advices.

Key transaction experience

  • Advising Northwood (Residential) Limited regarding the development of a large-scale residential scheme at Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9 and in relation to the disposal of the sites for the last two phases of the development.
  • Advising HSE regarding a national initiative for the development of Primary Care Centres on sites owned by third-party developers and drafting/reviewing the template documents to be used in such transactions, particularly the versions of the Agreement for Lease to be used nationally.
  • Advising and acting for HSE in relation to the disposal of several hospital sites, including sites at St. Loman's Hospital, St Columcille's Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital.
  • Advising HSE regarding the development and funding of various healthcare facilities including projects at Marks Lane (Pearse Street), Irishtown Health Centre and Bloomfield Hospital (Rathfarnham).
  • Advising Macradi Ltd. in relation to the development and sale of consultant suites at Sports Surgery Clinic, Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9.
