Technology, including ICT (Information and Communications Technology)

Despite the global economic downturn, Ireland’s technology companies continue to be a focus of innovation at the forefront of efforts for renewed growth. Recent government policy underlines the importance of the technology, ICT, software and related sectors. Building Ireland’s Smart Economy, a Framework for Sustainable Economic Renewal, published in December 2008, clearly links Irish economic development to combining knowledge and sustainability.
