Infrastructure, Construction & Energy - Solicitor/Associate

ByrneWallace’s Infrastructure, Construction and Energy Group provides innovative solutions to the complex issues that affect clients. It is a department that is comprised of three teams – the Projects and Infrastructure team, the Construction law team and the Energy and Natural Resources team. 

The ICE Group understands the ever-changing needs of clients, and provides expert advice through every stage of the development cycle, from project inception, procurement strategy, PFI/PPP project or development agreements, project finance, project execution, project completion, building regulations, health and safety and the resolution of any disputes. We offer market-leading expertise combined with a wealth of experience advising leading public and private sector clients on a broad range and scale of projects.

We are experiencing significant levels of growth across all service lines and are seeking candidates to fill positions across all teams in the ICE Group. The successful candidates will have a minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience in construction, energy, environmental, planning or projects law practice. 

Some of the following experience in particular would be really helpful:

  • Advising on infrastructure projects
  • Advising on the construction law aspect of commercial real estate developments and/or residential developments
  • Previous experience advising clients on contentious construction issues
  • Prior exposure to the preparation and negotiation of construction and engineering contracts 
  • Experience of Project Finance and/or Development Finance
  • Experience of public procurement and advising public bodies
  • Advising on renewables projects to include PPAs
  • Advising on planning and environmental law
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team within the Firm, with other advisors and with our clients

Other key requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor (in Ireland)
  • 2 – 5 years PQE
