Brexit Readiness Action Plan

Thursday, 10 September 2020

As a break from COVID-19 related news, Brexit and the Brexit negotiations have again been making headlines this week with the UK Government publishing the controversial “United Kingdom Internal Market Bill 2019-21” which may potentially throw the future of the EU-UK trade talks into doubt.

In the midst of the fallout from the above, the Irish Government yesterday published its “Brexit Readiness Action Plan – Preparing for the end of the Transition Period”.

This is a comprehensive document which provides a detailed overview of the steps that businesses and individuals need to take now, to be ready for the end of the Transition Period in just over 100 days on 31 December 2020. Given the events in London this week, the publication of this document couldn’t have been better timed to encourage businesses and individuals to intensify their planning and preparatory work as the possibility of a “no-deal Brexit” has once again significantly increased.
