ByrneWallace advised the shareholders of Irish advertising agency, Rothco, on its sale to global professional services company, Accenture. 

Established in 1995, Rothco is Ireland’s largest creative agency group, employing over 150 people. Rothco is an award winning agency, including amongst its accolades, a number of wins at the prestigious Cannes Lions awards. Rothco has numerous blue-chip clients, including Heineken, Unilever, Tesco, Aer Lingus, eir, Dublin Bus, Gas Networks Ireland, Rory McIlroy, the Defence Forces and the National Lottery. 

The acquisition of Rothco is intended to complement and expand Accenture’s interactive division’s presence in Ireland and the UK. 

The acquisition was subject to Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) approval.
